Is your Wix site done?

My job is over

You are now the

Do It Yourself

of your own site

Websites need care and feeding

As your own webmaster you should:

  • check your links once in a while, and make sure they still work right

  • watch out for wandering text blocks and graphic elements out of alignment

  • add new pages when your niche specialties change

  • tweak your marketing message in advance of holidays

  • change photos -- yours and others -- to freshen up the look of your site

What does

that mean?

  • add freebie downloads to build an email marketing list

  • update your copyright notice every year by adding the new year:  2012 - 2017

  • keep blogging

  • add social media icons as you broaden your number of social media accounts that are actively tended

  • know how to renew your Wix and domain accounts

Wix has great self-help support

for DIY Webmasters

Go to your account page -- where the blue Edit Site button is -- then look up to the top of the page for the Support link.

Want to talk to a techie?  From your account page,
look to the bottom of the page for the Contact Us link
and schedule a support call.

For the first month after I have completed your site,
I'll be available to you for extended learning about
the tools and making changes to your content.

After that point, you will be your own webmaster. But you won't be without resources!

Need more help ?  Read the blog on this site

I have blogs on this website to help you further.

You'll get my ezine with further tips and notices.

You can like my Facebook page where I repost marketing tips that often suggest website changes.

I recommend signing up for the great Wix ezine too with both website and business building tips.

There are help forums on Wix where many questions are answered already, some with videos, and most with step by step directions.

You can schedule a live call with the nice tech support people at Wix when all the above don't provide you with the learning you need.

Hire Deah as your Web Master

If keeping an eye on your website is not how you want to spend your time, you might considering signing up for my WebMastering service.

Tasks Deah Doesn't Do
as Your Webmaster

Beyond taking care of your website there are a number of tasks that you will need to do to keep your pipeline full of a steady stream of potential clients. Several of my blogs on this site and at provide instruction on that for you.

However, I cannot be your marketing assistant to accomplish those tasks for you. Webmastering does NOT include:

  • monitoring your analytics

  • doing external link building

  • submitting articles to websites on your behalf

  • sending press releases about your practice

  • ghostwriting and sending your newsletter

  • monitor or prune your 3rd party newsletter mailing list

  • set up an Aweber autoresponder campaign or opt in box

  • social media posting or page management

  • Amazon product descriptions

  • Kindle ebook editing and publishing

  • ghostwriting original blogs for you

  • updating your locator directory profiles

  • designing or writing brochures and business cards

  • marketing tasks not associated with the maintenance of your website and blog

To avoid playing phone tag,
initial contact by email is preferred

Note: emails without date, timezone and hour for chat won't get a response

Why I've Retired

It's possible this will come as a surprise to you -- it certainly has snuck on me that I'm well past retirement age. Over the last year or so, my heart has been pulled in other directions, and while I still love the creative aspects of website design, I want to use my time making a life rather than devoting my energies to making a living. So I plan to travel, attend writers' retreats, work on learning to take good iPhone photos, and just be open to where my spirit guides take me. I have also stepped back from my esoteric work for 2020, and who knows what the future holds for that.

Please see the blog post for my two Wix designers who have earned my highest recommendations for serving my client niche.

All the Best to You!
