How the internet is constructed and functions is a mystery to many. And sometimes my website clients are surprised to learn that they will have a website host AND a domain host. Often the same company will host both website and domain, but just as often these two entit...

Excellent quality yet inexpensive photo sources for finding images you can use on your website and in your blog can be a challenge.  Wix provides a really good image library of free photos that has expanded quite a lot in the last year. And conveniently located in the...

What to do you do when your website has been done for months -- maybe even years -- and you decide that you need to change your displayed fees? Or maybe you have moved your office and need to change the information on your contact page and in your footer?  Do you take...

I love this picture. It has absolutely nothing to do with this instruction on how to add photos to your blog -- unless you want to get all metaphysical and talk about walking the path to enlightenment, or meditating on just the right image to enhance your topic. As a p...

Ideally, a launch campaign starts weeks or even months prior to the availability of a new product or service. The idea is to create "buzz", meaning favorable anticipation, for something new about to happen. In reality, few therapists, coaches, or healers promote a new...

You're gonna love your Wix blog, I'm 99% certain. But there will be a bit of a learning curve in getting used to its quirks, especially if all you have been used to is the WordPress platform. So here is what you need to know to ease into a comfortable and efficient lev...

Social sharing is good for your blog in a couple ways. It gives you something new to say on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Google Plus, or a new picture to post to Pinterest. It introduces your blog and website to an ever expanding audience. It encourages new visitors...

Why I've Retired

It's possible this will come as a surprise to you -- it certainly has snuck on me that I'm well past retirement age. Over the last year or so, my heart has been pulled in other directions, and while I still love the creative aspects of website design, I want to use my time making a life rather than devoting my energies to making a living. So I plan to travel, attend writers' retreats, work on learning to take good iPhone photos, and just be open to where my spirit guides take me. I have also stepped back from my esoteric work for 2020, and who knows what the future holds for that.

Please see the blog post for my two Wix designers who have earned my highest recommendations for serving my client niche.

All the Best to You!
