See that picture above? That's my inner child today coming to the realization that I'm going to have to, sooner or later, convert my old Wix blogs to the new Wix blog technology.

I've been advising my clients to wait until the new blog has all the great features we have...

In Wix world we are still talking about the old blog versus the new one. Those of you with fairly new websites will be using the new blog. And some of my longer standing clients may have updated to the new blog. Here's a checklist for what not to miss just because the...

As much as many of us don't really want to have to know much about the techie bits of what makes our websites function, a few pieces of basic knowledge do cut down on frustration and anxiety. Today I want to highlight a few things about the architecture of blogs, and g...

Even those of us who identify as writers will occasionally come up with writer's block.  But when blogging is one of your main marketing methods, it's essential to have ideas at the ready for those times when you're just not feeling inspired.  Of course, you might be t...

Not a week goes by that I'm not asked this question. And in reality, there are probably many different ways to start blogging. Here's a look at one productive process.

As with anything else related to marketing a couple preliminary...

I'm old school. I still work primarily on a desktop computer, although occasionally I do blog from the laptop while watching -- okay, actually while just listening to --  the news. Once, mostly just to see what all the fuss was about, I blogged from my phone. See...

There is a lot of talk among Wix designers about the old blog versus the new. Some designers think there are more visual design options for the new version, but there are drastic downsides. Personally, I install the old blog on all my clients' sites because the feature...

Blog tags and categories are a little like pigeon holes. They help your readers enter the world of your writing for internet marketing, and find what they are looking for, perhaps along with new ideas they didn't know they wanted to look for.

Or, put another way, they a...

This is the first time I’ve ever posted to my blog from my iPhone. Being a guinea pig for my clients is just one of the services I provide.

Hmm, I should have posted that little rodent instead of a wolf, probably. But one of things I’m learning is that this app doesn’t...

Why I've Retired

It's possible this will come as a surprise to you -- it certainly has snuck on me that I'm well past retirement age. Over the last year or so, my heart has been pulled in other directions, and while I still love the creative aspects of website design, I want to use my time making a life rather than devoting my energies to making a living. So I plan to travel, attend writers' retreats, work on learning to take good iPhone photos, and just be open to where my spirit guides take me. I have also stepped back from my esoteric work for 2020, and who knows what the future holds for that.

Please see the blog post for my two Wix designers who have earned my highest recommendations for serving my client niche.

All the Best to You!
