It happens time and again -- solopreneurs who aren't tech-minded often misplace or never know the vital information needed by tech support people when a problem arises. Basic issues like the domain not connecting to the website, or the email not forwarding to the right...

A favicon, or favorite icon, is the tiny symbol or logo used to visually identify a URL (website address) in your browser tab or in the set of icons displayed with or without the site name in a bookmark list. Think of them as the graphic or artsy equivalent of your bus...

Do you have a Privacy Policy and Terms of Website Use page on your website?  If you don't, this is something to take care as soon as you can.  There are three good reasons --

Often my Wix Instruction posts come out of an email I've received from a client about something they can't figure out with the website I've designed for them. Today the perfect reason for a blog post is the question about where emails go when a visitor uses the contact...

Here are 5 tips for getting the best out of your website designer -- whether that's me or someone I've referred you to.

1.  When you ask for a change, specify which device you are viewing with -- desktop, laptop, tablet type, phone type --  and exactly where on which pa...

I don't like feeling as though I'm lecturing my clients.  And sometimes I catch myself perhaps explaining more than you care to know. I do feel a sense of obligation to ensure you have all the info you need about what is good practice, legal, or counter-productive, whe...

Why I've Retired

It's possible this will come as a surprise to you -- it certainly has snuck on me that I'm well past retirement age. Over the last year or so, my heart has been pulled in other directions, and while I still love the creative aspects of website design, I want to use my time making a life rather than devoting my energies to making a living. So I plan to travel, attend writers' retreats, work on learning to take good iPhone photos, and just be open to where my spirit guides take me. I have also stepped back from my esoteric work for 2020, and who knows what the future holds for that.

Please see the blog post for my two Wix designers who have earned my highest recommendations for serving my client niche.

All the Best to You!
