First, let me define what I mean by an e-book promotion. This is a spotlighted area on your website, and on social media, that announces the free availability of your e-book, and provides a way to acquire it. The method of getting the e-book might be via a request / su...

According to Marketing-Schools.org, there are at least 128 types of marketing strategies. One quick look at their list shows that many of these types overlap, and many are appropriate mostly for large companies with marketing departments instead of solopreneurs who are...

What is web presence? It's just the term used to describe how (where and why) you show up on the internet, and how you engage with the world. In today's cyber-connected world, web presence is essential not only for businesses, but for non-profit organizations, and even...

One of the more unusual traits I've noticed among my colleague psychotherapists is the strong tendency to strive to be just like every other clinician, to NOT stand out from the pack, to market in ways that aim to blend in rather than to distinguish themselves as havin...

These days, having at least a small social media presence is absolutely essential for building a business.  While no individual post is likely to result in a new client, using at least one of the major social media platforms -- Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, Yo...

Why I've Retired

It's possible this will come as a surprise to you -- it certainly has snuck on me that I'm well past retirement age. Over the last year or so, my heart has been pulled in other directions, and while I still love the creative aspects of website design, I want to use my time making a life rather than devoting my energies to making a living. So I plan to travel, attend writers' retreats, work on learning to take good iPhone photos, and just be open to where my spirit guides take me. I have also stepped back from my esoteric work for 2020, and who knows what the future holds for that.

Please see the blog post for my two Wix designers who have earned my highest recommendations for serving my client niche.

All the Best to You!
